| Kara Marie has graced the stages of Broadway, Radio City Music Hall, the Metropolitan Opera House, the 2002 Olympic Medals Plaza, and NY's City Center. Currently she is a featured performer on Broadway in Disney's Tarzan. Her television appearances include the MTV Video Music Awards, The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, The View, Broadway Under the Stars, The Grand Re-opening of Radio City, PBS Great Performances, Music Videos, and commercials. She has done film work in Michael Kantor's documentary Broadway: The American Musical and 20th Century Fox’s Little Manhattan. Kara Marie has been kicking up her heels with the world famous Radio City Rockettes for the past several years.
Kara is excited to appear in two coffee table books available in bookstores now. Disney released a Tarzan coffee table book that takes readers from rehearsals through our journey to The Great White Way. Radio City Music Hall and Madison Garden Entertainment have created a beautiful book full of photos of the Rockettes and our history since the Rockettes were formed in 1925.
She has worked with gifted directors and choreographers such as Graciela Daniele, Lynne Taylor-Corbett, Bob Crowley, Mark Dendy, Thommie Walsh, John Deitrich, Tina Landon, Jamie King, Maria Torres, Meryl Tankard, Robert Longbottom, Jerry Mitchell, Pat Birch, Chase Brock, Litza Bixler, Mercedes Ellington, Joey Pizzi, Sergio Trujillo, Willi Rosario, Anti Gravity and Mia Michaels.
In addition to performing, her choreographic work includes two PBS Great Performances commercials, and live industrial shows for Panasonic, Samsung, Microsoft, FOX TV, Aetna, Merck, and Choice Hotels. Kara was an assistant choreographer for a series of online Cingular commercials and a music video for MTV Europe. She has also taught and choreographed for Universities and The Rockette Experience.
Kara was a full scholarship student at Pacific Northwest Ballet and as a Rhythmic Gymnast she was invited to train at the Olympic Training Center after receiving first place at the Junior Olympics. Her training also includes extensive tap, jazz, pilates, and salsa in NY and LA.
Kara Marie has modeled for designers such as United Colors of Benneton, Tommy Hilfiger, Lady Foot Locker, Levis, L’Oreal, and Wella. She has done print work for Microsoft, Vaseline Intensive Care, Mirimax, PBS, Broncolor, Lois Greenfield, Danskin, Capezio, and magazines including Latina, Oprah, National Geographic, Fitness and Golf Digest. Kara Marie is a "Parts” model for her legs, back, hands, and feet.
